Hi Wes,
Thank you so much for your concern mate !
We have survived the flood ok, the water got to my driveway and next door had a river through their house - we only missed it by about 1.5 inches !
I have been helping with the sandbagging, helping neighbours put up their belongings and taking them to higher ground.
It has been a trying five days but the community of Emerald has banded together even with 1200 evacuees and 80% of the town under water.
We have have 60 red cross volunteers working shifts around the clock , three TV crews , 150 Emergency services plus the army was bought in to chopper food.
The river got to 16 meters ( around 48 feet) and the dam got to 6.2 meters (around 20 feet) above the spillway !
Even the older residents of the area have never seen this much water, its mindblowing !
Wes, its really nice to hear from you and thank you again for thinking of us mate.
